| Scouting For Food, Great Success!! | |

|
| On February 11, 2006, the Yucca Council participated in their annual Scouting for Food service project, in which cub scouts and boy scouts alike take donations of canned foods from households. The Arrowmen of Gila Lodge 378 assisted in the pick up and counting of the canned good donations. Volunteering arrowmen, along with Army officer volunteers, stayed at various locations in El Paso from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Without their help, we could not have been able to collect all of the goods that we did. Special thanks to the Army officer volunteers, every single scouter who collected goods, to those who lent a hand in coordinating the project, and to Lowes Home Improvement Centers of El Paso, for allowing us to use their parking lots to collect the food. All canned good donations will be donated to the El Paso Food Bank. Every year, the Council holds the Scouting for Food project, in support of the El Paso Food Bank, hence, they depend on us for support. Again, thanks to everyone who participated in any form! |
